From Switzerland to Capetown and back on a bicycle. After more than one and a half year, 21 Countries and 27000km, I had to go back home. Already having passed the southernmost tip of Africa, Corona forced me to go back home. 5 years later and I am back in Africa to complete my journey. Southafrica to Lesotho-Eswatini-Mosambique-Simbabwe-Sambia-Malawi-Tanzania-Kenia and Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is a bit of a hate and love. On one hand, there is the great food, the landscapes and the friendly people, with whom I can easily get in touch by just sitting in one of the many coffee places, where everybody meets and have a really good coffeee. On the other hand, I am constantly beeing loudly called and everyone wants my attention. The children and youths are especially nasty and disrespectful. They chase me, demand money, try to steal stuff from my bike and throw stones at me. And if I stop and confront them, they run away like cowards. The adults don´t seem to mind and all. If it wasn´t for the friendly adults and the nice food and coffee, I would have left the country already.
